Why Get a Surgical Second Opinion?

It is considered wise to ask someone - with relevant expertise - for a second opinion, when you have been told that you need to undergo a surgical procedure. Since you can decide how much time you want to spend with me, in the end, you will be confident that you'll choose what is best for you.

You will also be given ample time to discuss your feelings and make sure that you understand all possible alternatives. In the end, YOU make the final, INFORMED decision that will suit you best. You will also have the opportunity to discuss your action plan that will give you the best results from your choice.

Getting Ready for Your Gynecological or Surgical Second Opinion

Over the Phone

You will be sent a questionnaire to fill out in advance of your one-on-one telephone consultation via e-mail or fax. Make sure that you answer all the questions, especially the portion where you are asked about your expectation about the encounter.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU NEED TO FILL OUT THE QUESTIONNAIRE IN ITS ENTIRETY AND SEND IT TO ME AT LEAST ONE WEEK PRIOR TO OUR SESSION.

During the session, we will:

• Go over the questionnaire you completed;
• Ensure that you understand the pros and cons of what has been offered to you. When you have a clear picture of what you want, it will be easier to work with your other health care providers;
• Develop clear action steps that will get you desired results;
• Create a personal action road map that you can easily follow afterwards.

In Person

As soon as your appointment is confirmed, you will receive the appropriate questionnaire via e-mail. Make sure that you answer all the questions, especially the portion where you are asked about your expectation about our encounter.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU NEED TO FILL OUT THE QUESTIONNAIRE IN ITS ENTIRETY AND BRING IT WITH YOU AS WELL AS ANY RECORDS THAT YOU MAY HAVE.
