Did You Know? Survival Rates for
Premenopausal Breast Carcinoma Patients
Did you know that a recent
study provides compelling evidence that survival rates for premenopausal breast carcinoma
patients are closely correlated with the timing of surgery within the patients' menstrual
cycle.
The findings indicate that
patients who undergo tumor excision within the follicular phase (day 3-day 12) of their
menstrual cycle experience significantly less chances for survival, in comparison with
patients who undergo surgery during during the later part of their menstrual cycle (the
luteal phase)?
