Taking Charge of Your Life
Type of audience: Women of all ages
Keynote address: 45 90 minutes
Many women are experiencing new levels of overwhelm as they become a more predominant force in the workplace while still trying to maintain numerous other roles and responsibilities:
mother, wife, caretaker, chauffeur, committee person, cook, etc.
The effort required to manage their time, energy, and resources is draining many women to the point where they are beginning to lose sight of who they are and why theyre doing
what theyre doing.
For many women, their sense of self-worth and self-esteem is based on their accomplishments as judged by others. One of the objectives of this address is to teach women to learn how
to say "no" without coming across as insensitive or self-centered.
Concepts that Dr. Carolle will cover include:
- Taking care of oneself first, then nurturing others.
- Learning to listen to ones own body.
- How suppressed emotions can lead to disease.
- Getting in touch with ones true feelings and expressing them appropriately.
- Learning to listen to ones body needs.
- Time management to do the things that are meaningful and supportive for oneself.
- Setting reasonable goals that are achievable without diminishing oneself.
- Developing a perspective from an internal frame of reference rather than an external one.
- Methods for refocusing on oneself to reconnect with ones inner guide.
